Monitoring of consumer devices

Do you know how much power your devices actually consume? You may have undiscovered energy hogs in your home. With a Shelly Plus Plug S switch, you can visualize consumption and better understand how your devices are performing.

  1. Use a switch with monitoring functionality
    • When setting up the switch in the app, select the "Monitoring" function. This ensures that essential devices like your refrigerator or washing machine are not accidentally switched off.
  2. Analyze consumption data
    • In the history, you can view and analyze the recordings and reports for your devices.

Example: Monitoring two refrigerators

  • Purple: A beverage refrigerator with approx. 200-liter capacity and a small freezer compartment, manufactured in 2010.
  • Blue: A fridge-freezer combination with 300-liter capacity (200/100), manufactured in 2020.

Result: The smaller refrigerator, which is opened less frequently, consumes almost 50% more power than the larger one.
