Connecting to the wallbox via the web interface


To establish a connection to the wallbox via the web interface, proceed as follows:

  1. Ensure that your device is on the same local network as the wallbox. The local network must have a DHCP server from which the wallbox can obtain its IPv4 address.
  2. There are two ways to access the web interface:
    - By entering the "wallbox network name" https://KWBxx (xx = 10-digit serial number of the wallbox) → Example: https://KWGG0Q1234567
    - By entering the known IPv4 address of the wallbox directly → Example: https://192.168.10.22
  3. The browser will display a security warning regarding a potential security risk. Accept the risk and click continue.
  4. Enter the operator password, which can be found on the supplementary sheet, to log in.
  5. You are now connected to your wallbox via the web interface. Once successfully connected, you can configure various settings on your wallbox. For information on how to use the web interface, please refer to the "Wallbox Web Interface" quick start guide. You can download this from the website www.kathrein-emobility.de.

Software update via web interface

  1. Open the wallbox web interface.
  2. Go to Settings > Update.
  3. The overview shown below will appear.
  4. If a new software version is available, it can be installed on the wallbox by clicking the "Download and install version xxxxx" button. This update method only works if the wallbox is connected to the internet.
  5. Additionally, the wallbox software can be updated manually by clicking the "Select file..." button. The current software can be downloaded at www.kathrein-emobility.de.

Adding the OCPP URL

 

Click on "Settings" in the main menu.

Copy the OCPP URL from our app and enter it under "Backend system URL". Example: "wss://cleverpv-ocpp.azurewebsites.net/ocpp/xxxxxx".

Set the "Security Level" to Level 2 (with authentication) and set a password.

Then click "Save".

After a restart, the wallbox will connect to us automatically; this may take a few minutes. It may also be necessary to start a charging session for the wallbox to connect to us for the first time.

Once the connection to your wallbox is established, it will appear in the dropdown menu under your OCPP URL.

 
 

You can now configure the remaining wallbox settings and save your wallbox.
