The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is an application protocol for communication between electric vehicle charging stations and complementary central management systems (CMS).
The protocol was originally developed by Joury de Reuver and Franc Buve and is now managed by the Open Charge Alliance, a non-profit organization based in the Netherlands.
OCPP allows operators to monitor, control, configure, and update charging stations, as well as handle payments and billing. The protocol is open and free of patents and licensing fees.
To connect your OCPP wallbox to our system, you must activate the wallbox's OCPP backend.
Before starting the setup, you must connect your wallbox to the internet and install the latest updates.
Access to the wallbox is required to set up the OCPP backend.
In the app, tap Wallbox -> OCPP 1.6.
When you add the wallbox in our system, your individual OCPP URL will be displayed in the wallbox menu.
You must now enter this link into your wallbox. Please refer to your wallbox manual to see where this link should be entered. Please ensure that the name of the wallbox does not contain any spaces " " or underscores "_". Otherwise, the control functionality will not work.
Preparation
Step 1: Select the Orbis network (the network name corresponds to the serial number of the charging station).
Step 2: Enter the factory password: 12345678 (It is recommended to change the password to a more secure one).
Step 3: Open a web browser and enter the following IP address in the address bar: "192.168.4.1". You are now in the web browser interface.
Step 4: Go to Communications and change the URL to:
ws://cleverpv-ocpp.azurewebsites.net/ocpp/XXXXX/Serialnumber
Note: Please add the serial number of the charging station at the end of the URL, after the "/".
Step 5: Change the port to 80 and click Overwrite.
Once you have completed this configuration, it may take up to 10 minutes for your wallbox to register. As soon as the connection to your wallbox is established, it will appear in the dropdown menu under your OCPP URL.
You can now configure the remaining wallbox settings and save your wallbox.
⚠️ To receive the initial status from the wallbox, a charging session must be started.
